CRISP-I
CRISP-I: An Investigation into the Effects of Diindolylmethane (BioResponse DIM) Supplementation in Women with Low-Grade Cervical Cytological Abnormalities.
The CRISP-I trial aims to investigate the chemo-prevention effects of a food supplement called Diindolylmethane (DIM) on high grade cervical disease in women with low-grade cytological abnormalities on their cervical smears. Women with a first mildly dyskaryotic smear or a second borderline smear taken within the Cervical Screening Wales (CSW) programme are invited to participate in the trial. This double blind randomised placebo controlled trial has been running since October 2004 and is recruiting women from three Administrative Districts between Swansea and Gwent.
