We organize workshops to encourage the development of new trials on specific topics. Our aim is to facilitate the initiation of large collaborative trials and provide critical appraisal of the research needs to maximize the translation of scientific discoveries into health care and population health benefits. 

Our most recent CPTU workshop focused on prostate cancer and aimed to generate new research proposals, including those involving lifestyle interventions. As a result, a decision was made to establish a collaborative platform for accelerating prostate cancer clinical trials research. The platform has two main objectives:

• To retrospectively identify and recognise existing and newly funded trials

• To recruit potential Chief Investigators and researchers interested in collaborating for add-on trials
